"the museum is a machine for producing meaning , a machine propelled solely by the belief that the museum has ordering propensities. Like a machine, its function depens on motion: ultimately, a motionless machine is meaningless. It is not the acquired knowledge but the perpetual acquiring of knowledge that is key to the museum's success. In order to keep up the fiction that it can create meaning out of chaos, the museum ha to come up with constant rereadings and reorderings of its materials" (Karsten Schubert, The curator's Egg)

[ ] Overall the museum project exists as two distinctly separate projects that work towards creating number of pieces of work, interactive installations or exhibits, that will be shown together as an exhibition within the college galleries at the beginning of February. [ ] the first project will involve the reseearch, design and presentation of a design proposal for a series of museum exhibits or installations. [ ] The second project will be the building of he final pieces selected from the proposals.
