white noise
| RCA | 2002 |

The installation is inspired by movies such as videodrome, the ring and poltergeist, where the white noise of a television acts like a portal between worlds.

Using random dot stereogram in a moving image format, the white noise of a TV gradually blends into the real space as a moving, three dimensional object.

To see random dot stereograms you have to cross your eyes in a rather unnatural way. This project solves the problem by projecting the image on a virtual plane in a real space, where the stereogram just pops into being without any strain.
