Online security tends to attempt to fortify the tunnel between the user and the service provider. As long as the communication between these two parties is is secure, everything is ok...
In today's online transactions, however, we are increasingly suspicious about the true agenda of the service itself. Therefore, we often key in random names and email addresses, when using some less important service.
Pims manages the user's pseudonyms, that protect the user from the misuse of the online service providers themseleves. By giving just enough information to access the service, and leaving the pseudonyms to tackle with all the spam mail and remembering of the passwords, the user's identity is distributed into a set of different alter-egos each, each beginning to develop a character of their own in relation to the services they are used to access.
