![]() Science Center Medical Technology | ARTCOM | 2009 | url: http://www.artcom.de/index.php?option=com_acprojects&page=6&id=76&Itemid=115&details=0&lang=en One of the worlds leading companies in prosthetics and body technology Otto Bock created a new Science Center in central Berlin. I was responsible for the concept and design principles for two large installations communicating the essence of the company in a poetic way. One installation comprises of a carefully positioned LED circuits recreate human locomotion, leveraging our visual perceptual system's bias towards recognizing human motion. The other is a series of suspended screens on computer controlled mechanical beams, where the contents of the screen and their physical motion is carefully choreographed to play in sync and express the multitude of human hand dexterity and gait. |
