![]() History Unwired - Mobile Experimenters | independent | 2005 | url: http://web.mit.edu/frontiers/ A joint project with Amanda Parkes looking at different ways to augment in the physical space an mobile walking tour "History Unwired". The resulting two works use thermochromic ink as a daylight proof slow display mechanism. Both installations are triggered by the proximity of bluetooth-enabled handheld devices on which the tour runs. The first one is installed on the facade of a desolate greenhouse. The 2nd exists as a large historical cityscape outline emerging from a number of clothes on a washing line. The project was organised by the architecture departments of the Universities of Venice and MIT. And ran in conjunction with the Venice Biennale 2005 and the Venice Film Festival 2005. exposure: |
